Our dedication to farm-to-table dining is one of the main things that sets our Granbury Bed and Breakfast apart from other lodging accommodations in the area. For example, a local farmer (and friend) drops off fresh chicken and duck eggs every week. We make our own vanilla with Madagascar beans. We also prepare and can a big batch of salsa each year from our fresh tomatoes, peppers, and onions. We ran out of salsa in January this year, so we are stepping up our game—11 raised beds this year instead of three!
The veggies planted on site are mostly heirloom seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, including Black Beauty tomatoes with a rich, deep red flesh. We also plant Abe Lincoln tomatoes, red potatoes, Ailsa Craig onions (up to five pounds), and Manpukuji carrots (up to two feet long), just to name a few of the key ingredients you’ll find on our morning menus.
As you roam our grounds, you’ll also notice our apple, apricot, peach, and pear trees, as well as blueberry and blackberry bushes. And flowers! Bee Balm, Hollyhock, several Zinnia varieties, Chamomile, and a variety of marigolds called Orange Hawaii, that often grow to five inches wide!

Homemade salsa is a frequent compliment at breakfast atop scrambled eggs, huevos rancheros, Mexican Dutch baby, or breakfast casseroles. Each day of your stay, we treat you to different tried and authentic recipes created with local ingredients and made with love. We also always offer a sweet treat at our Granbury Bed and Breakfast because dessert is a beautiful thing to enjoy with coffee.
